  • Serial numbers before 74001 and ACS (Wifi) controllers
    • You will need the Short J-type probe
    • If you have upgraded or replaced your controller you may need the PT-1000 probe
    • You can verify here:  Temp Probe Verification
    • If no probe type is visible in the settings, make sure you are connected to Wifi and allow the firmware to update to the latest version
    • If updating the firmware is not an option for you, you can assume that your version requires the Short J-type probe
  • Legacy (non-Wifi) controllers with firmware R37 and newer
    • You will need the Short J-type probe
  • Legacy (non-Wifi) controllers with firmware older than R37
    • You will need the Long J-type probe
